Chemours Industrial Non-Stick Coatings

Orion Industries is a Licensed Industrial Applicator (LIA) of Chemours Teflon™ industrial coatings that are cured to a tough, inert finish. Over the years, Chemours technology has extended the family of industrial Teflon™ coatings to ensure a finish with the ideal combination of properties to meet most design needs. Chemours offers PFA, FEP, Krytox™, ETFE, Tefzel™ and other non-stick industrial coatings.
Teflon™ PTFE Coating Specifications
By combining heat resistance with almost total chemical inertness, excellent dielectric stability, and a low coefficient of friction, PTFE coatings offer a balance of properties unbeatable by any other material. It is the original nonstick finish. Chemours, the originator of industrial Teflon™ coatings, has the worldwide resources to help you solve your industrial coating problems.

Teflon™ PFA Coating Specifications
PFA powder topcoats offer excellent release and abrasion resistance. PFA has a very high temperature resistance of 500° Fahrenheit continuous and 500° F intermittent. PFA can be applied in multiple coats to get film builds as high as 8 mils (.008").

PFA liquids are water-based PFA coatings that can be used in applications that PFA powder may not easily coat. It provides a thinner film than powder, up to 3 mils (.003") are possible in multi coats.

Teflon™ FEP Coating Specifications
FEP powder topcoats are designed for industrial applications requiring low or no porosity and chemical resistance with a high level of release and non-stick characteristics. FEP can be applied up to a film build of 6 mils (.006") with multiple coats. The maximum operating temperature is 300° Fahrenheit continuous and 358° F intermittent.
FEP liquid topcoats perform similar to powder topcoats with film builds up to 3 mils (.003") with multiple coats.
FEP one coat finishes offer dry lubrication and non-stick properties at relatively low cure temperatures. These one-coat systems are suitable for use in conditions of mild abrasion, low operating temperatures and moderate chemical resistance applications. The coating is normally applied at .5 - 1.0 mils (.0005 - .001") and can be multi-coated to a film build of 1.5 - 2.0 mils (.0015 - .002") to improve corrosion or chemical resistance.
